Appendix 1 — Specific Submission Terms for PSA Submissions
This appendix forms an integral part of the general terms and conditions.
1. Role of VDH Grading
VDH Grading acts solely as an intermediary and is not PSA, not a grading company and not an assessor of cards.
2. No guarantee of grade
VDH Grading never guarantees:
- PSA 10;
- PSA 9 or higher;
- authentication;
- an increase in value;
- saleability;
- fast processing;
- a flawless slab;
- acceptance by PSA.
3. PSA decisions are binding within the service
The customer accepts that PSA decides independently on:
- grade;
- authenticity;
- labels;
- qualifiers;
- refusal;
- upcharges;
- service level;
- turnaround time;
- reholder/review options.
4. Costs remain payable
Even if a card:
- is not graded;
- is designated as counterfeit;
- receives a low grade;
- receives an upcharge;
- is processed with delay;
- turns out to be damaged; the costs already incurred remain payable.
5. Declared value
The customer is responsible for the declared value. A declared value that is too low may result in lower insurance cover and additional costs.
6. High-value cards
For cards with an estimated value above €500 per card, the customer must determine in advance whether additional insurance or adapted shipping is required.
For cards above €1,000 per card, it is recommended as standard to contact VDH Grading in writing in advance.
